On the weekends, there are huge groups of bike riders out on the road; the weekend we went to Tuscany and Umbria, we saw many of them. Unfortunately, because we were on the road, I didn't get any good group shots.
In Italy, there are bikers....
And then there are BIKERS!

I felt like we'd stumbled onto a Hell's Angels road rally--

and coming! Feel free to add your own revving engines sound effects- believe me, there was plenty of that as this group came through!
only these guys weren't riding Harleys, Ducati's were more their style. And they were much better dressed-in professional racing leathers. I saw quite a few bikers wearing racing leathers during my stay in Italy-considering how warm it was outside, they must have been sweltering!

Must be getting a little hot.
The majority of these bikers were men--a few had girls on the backs of their bikes, clinging like baby monkeys on their precarious perches, but this was obviously a male-bonding experience. (see below picture)

Hey look-we're getting our picture taken!
The bike riders were more mixed, but they too tended to be professionally decked out. I guess Italians like to be well-dressed, no matter what the occasion.
