I'm baaaaaaack!

Yes, I am finally back! I naively believed that somehow I would have the time to keep up with my blog during my summer travels--hahahahaha. Anyway, that didn't happen. However, I did think about blogging, and actually wrote a few posts...I just never got around to posting them. Bad me. So sorry. So I thought I would post a few recaps of the highlights of the summer. It was quite a summer...lots of fun times, lots of travel, lots of good food. (I'm not even sure "lots of" is correct English; it doesn't really sound like it is.) The only thing there wasn't "lots of" was summer weather. It was cold in Washington and California, the two places I spent the most time. The June gloom in Santa Barbara got carried over to July, and then August...there was fog during Fiesta! But I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's start with May.

Zach and I went to Splendid China with some friends. Unfortunately, the good pictures on the better camera were accidently erased. Oops. But here's a few from the other camera:

Zach with a weird Chinese stilt guy. I really like that the guy is doing kissy lips.

Me by a cool face-changing mask. I saw this magic face-changing

performed at the Sichuan opera. It is very cool.

These are just some random pictures around Shekou.

I'm not sure what "slopwork" is, but I know I don't want any!

And here we have our "enormous yard of dress".

Maybe this is for us "enormous" foreign ladies.

And here we have our McDonald's delivery bikes. Bet you don't see those around the US much.
